Application failed to initialise also with MR1

I also have the problem that certain applications (notepad, gzip,....) are not starting after SEP 11.x is installed on a client. I am getting the message "Application failed to initialise"
 
I already read the following thread and only installing Antivirus and Spyware protection is a work around but not a solution!!
 
 
I already installed MR1 and I hoped that the problem should be fixed but it is not!!
 
Somebody knows if there is already a fix for that??

I just installed MR1 as well and experiencing the same issues. I spent over 3 hours this morning on the phone with tech support and no answers although like others, narrowed the problem down to the Application and Device Control option. Just with a small test, I can't run 3rd party Remote Desktop Apps or even the Opera browser. I am regretting renewing my support recently.
