When you want to make an Application Exception you need to enable the "Learn applications that run on the client computers" from the Communication Settings. Once this is enabled and you select your application and set the desired action, should you then turn off Application Learing? I'm looking for best practice advice and is there any reason why you should not shut it off once the exception is completed?

    Try this:

Ideally, you wan to turn it off after you get what you need. You can build firewall and such using it but it can consume a large amount of space in terms of logs, especially if you have a lot of clients.
