  • 1.  Application Metering - database tables are empty

    Hi there,

    Hope someone will be able to help!

    I need to know how can I force new data coming to Application Metering db tables:

    - evt_aex_application_start
    - evt_aex_application_stop
    - inv_aex_am_monthly_summary_spt
    - cmn_am_monthly_summary_common

    I prepare test enviroment this morning, set some monitor policies with Start/Stop events enabled. Sending batches notification is set to 5 minutes (demo only). Same value has been set for 'Clients send summary data' setting in configuration page.

    I refreshing db tables since this morning and all above are still empty.

    I've check AeXAMInventory.txt files on targeted machines and fresh data is in place.

    What else can I do? Or it's just a matter of time? If so, what 5 minutes(demo only) exactly means?

    Sounds like Altiris 6.

    Did you enable the metering policies? Did the clients update their configuration (did it change)?

    Instead of batches you could try to send events immediately.

    For the monthly summary table i think you will have to wait till first month is over.

    did you ensure they have the app metering agent and have updated their client policies?
