application stop working

    one of the application stop working with the error message of symantec. When symantec service stop here it work fine. How to resolve it?

    Whats the application name ? whats ther version of SEP you have installed? the latest is 12.1.4 you should try running that first to see if that fixes the issue.

    Can you share error scrren shot ?Does this application releated your company ?

    If it's releated your company, do you have submit for whitelist.

    Have you tried putting the application into an exceptions policy?

    Alternativly try submitting the application to symantec for analysis for white listing/false posative

    That is our company sql base application and install on different location.

    symantec client is 12.1.2.

    i try to get the error message from appointed engineer.

    no i have not added this aaplication in exception.

    what all components installed ?

    can you install only AV and verify?

    Does it work if you disable SEP?

    Have you tried adding the .exe to centralized exception and testing it again.?

    Can you also share the information in regards with application as below

    1. Whether you have install the application.

    2. Whether its intranet

    3. Whether you run by keeping the .exe of the said application

    I have installed package with all the components.

    I have not tried to install only with AV component because local engineer has no access to make any change.

    This is sql base application and will share the report of all user to senior.

    It's intranet base application butno access from my site.

    Today i try all above comments troubleshoot

    You can go to add/remove programs

    select SEP

    select modify

    remove NTP

    thats it.

    Add the application folder in exception of scanning.

    Try to remove the NTP feature.

    I HAVE REMOVED THE NTP COMPONENT AND IT START WORKING WITHOUT ANY ISSUE.
