I have installed the client on 4 test systems including the server containing the Protection Center. On 1 of those clients during installation, I chose not to apply the intrusion and firewall protection. I now want to apply these to that system. All these systems are in the same group and the instrusion and firewall protection are already turned on in this group. So I am a little confused and cannot find a way to apply this to the 1 system.

Try updating the profile from the client.
Click on the SEP badge, click "Help>Troubleshooting>Update under policy profile.

If the initial client install did not include those features, then you will need to reinstall the client to install the needed modules.

How are you determining if FW/IPS is enabled/disabled on the 1 system?
One thing you culd try as Thomas indicated is do a Push Install using the Wizard with Network Threat protection and AV/AS modules enabled.

if you dont find it
go to add / remove programs on the client
select symantec endpoint
chick on modify
have all the options enabled under the drop down arrow
run the install
check if that appears
