SAV 10.1.6 is on this box, but I am going to bunp it up now, it is a Proliant DL380 G3...

Once a week, my NAS server goes down, and when I look in  the applog, Symantec registers about 2 or 3 events at that time, and then a warning is sent about VSS
These events ALWAYS occur RIGHT before the shutdown on this server. I would like to know if there are any known issues or resolutions for this event.
Thank you.

Hi

Solution

GetVolumeNameForVolumeMountPointW is exported by kernel32.dlll . Retrieves a volume GUID path for the volume that is associated with the specified volume mount point (drive letter, volume GUID path, or mounted folder).

Use mountvol.exe and find the referenced volume and check if have excluded volume from shadow copy.
I guess that is what the VSS warning is telling you
