I had a similar problem. I upgraded my v7.1 SMP to SP1 and the SIM prerequisite checks gave errors on .NET. All I found was that IIS had to be uninstalled and reinstalled in order to recover from the .NET problem. Did that, and lost my SMP. Ran SIM again, and luckily was able to run a repair on SMP. However, at that point, the damage had been done. The repair of SMP got back most of the virtual directories/apps, but even a repair of Client Management Suite and Service and Asset Mangement Suite did not return all of the apps/virtual directories.
As I go through the console, I periodically receive the dreaded "Server Error in '/Altiris' Application" with a similar resource missing: Requested URL: /Altiris/Connector/xxx/xxx.aspx.
From this point, I search for the aspx file, usually in the referenced "Connector" directory and am able to re-create the app/virtual directory.
What I'd really like is a listing of the apps/virtual directories so I can create them since SIM won't/can't do it. And, I really don't want to go through each and every menu item, web part, etc. in the console to try and discover which apps/virtual directories I'm missing. Going down the folder listing under \program files\altiris and search for each folder that has a "web" folder doesn't do much good because the virtual directory could be called something else.
Any help is appreciated.
