This issue has been solved. See solution.

In my customer's environment
Enterprise Vault version: It upgraded to 10.0.3 from 8.0.5.
FSAAgent was simultaneously installed in the file server of MSFC composition.
(File server OS:Windows Server 2008R2) After about three weeks passed, EvPlaceHolderService came to hang.

If some DLLs are looked at now,
C: (x86) \Program Files \Enterprise Vault\PlaceholderServicep s.dll - They are 19 KB.
On the other hand, there is also the following to a different directory.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\X64\PlaceholderServiceps.dll - 23KB

Although it thinks it right to copy DLL under X64 to (x86) C:\Program Files \Enterprise Vault, does someone know the right installation method?

I would not advise that. If you think there is a problem with the FSA Agent why wouldn't you just uninstall and then re-install?

what is the actual problem you are having?
