Hi,

Can anyone advice how to set a default value for asset association to be empty if the association picker type is “Asset List” (drop down list). For example I want to assign computer’s location, Location association picker type has been changed to “Asset List” :

but when I edit some computer (or create new one) default location is a 1^st location from my locations list:

 In Altiris 6 this behaves the way that default value is empty value called “—None --”

Is there a way to achieve the same without adding “—None --” value into my location list or changing “Asset List” picker to something else (e.g. Resource Association Picker for Asset)?

If you use "Resource Tree Picker For Asset", you have the default button:

But using "Asset list" i think as workaround you could create a location named -- None --.

Ps: It would be nice this point be a feature request for the next version.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Reason I’d like to use “Asset list” is we have several other custom associations and it is way faster to select a value from drop-down list than from Resource picker. If I’d use “—None –“ value then the associations will be actually created which is not exactly desired scenario.
