  • 1.  Auto AD Authentication - so IIS authenticated users don't need to enter ID/PW

I am trying to configure SD7 (MR1) such that my domain users do not need to enter an ID/PW when the first open the process manager page.  Kind of like how Helpdesk 6 did it for the Worker and WinUser consoles.

As it stands righ know, my AD user import is working and anyone is able to enter ther ID (domain\user or user@domain) and domain password and get in.  I'd judt like to make it transparent.  This is for 2 reasons, 1) one less step for users and 2) presenting the dialog create the security risk of a user authentication g as somebody else - i'd rather not allow that to happen.

I have read through the implimentation giude twive now (all 186 pages of it) and see what AD authentication is talked about on page 141, but nowhere does the documentation provide what eth default behavior is or if/how it can be changed.

    A) Is it possible to achive the behavior that I am looking for?
    B) How can I change my configuration to do so?

If you go to the Portal>Master Settings page under the Admin tab and select Process Manager Active Directory Settings. Is Active Directory Authentication selected?

If that is selected then you do get automatic authentication into SD by an AD user. Sometimes, the login page is displayed for a few seconds but then SD opens.

We have been running with this function for 3 months without any problem in a test environment.

I waited 10 minutes and it didn't sign me in.  Any ideas to help figure out why?

Do you have the Auto Create User on Initial Login set? This is on the Edit AD Server page.

Try the actions noted in Knowledgebase article AKB 50971 which describes the same symptoms as you have.

Yep, already been there, did that.  Had support on the case for 2 weeks now.  No solution yet.
