Auto discover applications???

I'm new to NTP, so I'm not sure where this is located.  I thought there was a selection somewhere to allow the discovery of applications on clients.  I want to enable this on the small group I'm testing with so I can add any exclusions I might need to.  I have just started turning on NTP, Application and Device Control, etc. on a couple of our clients.  I would like to use them for testing and discovering applications.  Can anybody tell me where to turn on this feature...or if I'm even correct in saying there is a place to turn it on?  I can't remember, but I thought Endpoint had that capability.

Thanks

Thanks, Vnner.  I found I did not have the first setting set properly.  I have made that change now.  Hopefully, it will start to discover applications on the machines in my test group.

Now, where can I expect to find the poplulated list of applications that have been loaded on clients?  Once it discovers applications, where does it show that list in SEPM so I can add necessary exclusions, etc?

Right here

• Log into SEPM
• Click on Policies
• On the bottom left. Click the Search for applications link

You will search Based On Applications by application size greater than 1 so we grab everything. Select Search For Applications In My Company as well.

Once you click the Search button, it appears nothing happens but it is running and will display in the bottom part of the window.

You can export it into Excel and see everything that has been run.

HTH,
