We have started using PM for Windows Patch Management. Is there a way to configure PM that it downloads Important and Critical MSFT updates as and when the bulletins are published and applies the updates to a particular filter?

Just curious as to why you would want to skip testing and go right to patching? I would think through your strategy again. Even if this is for a test environment, you would want at least some level of control. Otherwise, you are setting yourself up for a failure for sure. And then, you would have to backtrack to figure out what went wrong.

To make it short: No way to automatically stage and distribute updates with PM solution.

Thanks for the responses. I too agree applying updates automatically is a sure shot reason to get burnt sometime down the line. I was asked by my manager if there was anything automated as in WSUS where you can pre-approve important updates and I just wanted to make sure there is no automated way in NS.
