I am trying to install the x64 bit automation folder on my XP computers so I can convert them to W7. I checked the install log (below) but its not working. Any advice would be appreciated.

    thanks!

Your logs give a error 110 when running  C:\boot\altiris\iso\bootsect.exe /nt60 /SYS. Error 110 is a windows error code and means "The system cannot open the device or file specified".

I've not seen this, but this might mean that bootsec.exe couldn't get a lock and the  /force option is required.

What version of DS in the 7.x world are you using?  If 7.0 you might find this useful,

I take it you've tried rebooting the XP client and trying again etc etc...

But.. Have you tried deploying an automation folder to an XP VM to see if this works on a clean XP machine? It would be interesting to see if this is something environmental.

If that works, try using your organisational  XP image on the VM, deploying the automation folder, and see what happens then.

    Kind Regards,

    Ian

Did you try my suggestions above... i.e. did you try doing this on a clean XP virtual machine? Just the Windows OS and nothing else? That would help isolate whether the problem is environmental.
