I created a report (to use as a data source) that includes all managed workstations I'd like assigned to an organizational group.  If I use an automation policy with a repeating schedule, do I have to worry about assigning the same workstations over and over to the same group?  For example, since managed workstation PC1 will always be listed in my report's results, it would be assigned to OG1 during "each run" of the automation policy so I wasn't sure about the negative impacts of this.

On the surface it appears repeatedly adding PCs to an organizational group doesn't present a significant impact in performance.  Also, determining whether a computer is already part of an org group doesn't seem to be a simple task...yes/no?

Can anyone enlighten me on why I had to select "Must at least contain" for Action and "Report as CSV" for Resources in the "Edit input parameters" dialogue box to get my automation policy to work?  I'm especially trying to understand how one would know what type of resource the task is expecting?

In my case, I cloned the precanned "Assign to Organizational Group" task and simply changed the Group dropdown to my desired org group.  I then used this task in my automation policy's Actions section.  Is it common knowledge that if I use a report as a data source in this instance, the task needs "Report as CSV" and not, say, Report as HTML, Report as Text, etc.?

According to tech support, the Assign to Org Group task expects data in CSV format so that's common knowledge.  As for the 2 possible actions, my initial thoughts on these were correct.

In other words, when using "Must only contain" with a report as csv, expected behavior is that the computers assigned to your org group will be replaced by those in the report data source (have yet to test this).  "Must at least contain" should add computers (if not already assigned) to your org group so is generally the more common action used.
