How autoprotect in SEP 12.15 identified that some files are dll, exe doc ?
It use same third application?
It checks the extension. It's all done within auto-protect.
So if I change extension form exe to doc and have check option as below
Scan files on remote computers only for when files are executed
This exe wound't be scan AV when I copy from remonte machine (share) to local host with SEP?
Every file type can be identified by it's binary signature. So yea you can change the file extension but it won't be able to execute because the extension you changed it to is not correct for the file type.
