  • 1.  Autoupgrate clients from old version

    Currently we migrate the manager SEP version 12.1.2015.2015, my question is can we migrate clients with the option of autougrate, these have the following versions:
     

     

    11.0.6200.754
    11.0.4000.2295
    11.0.5002.333
    11.0.7000.975
    11.0.2010.25

    Yes.

    SEP 12.1 RU2 will migrate over any previous version of 12.1 or 11.x

    You're good to go.

    Yes,It's supported  you can direct upgrade sep 11.x to sep 12.1.2.

    I suggest you can upgrade sep 12.1 RU3.

    Below mentaion problem are fixed in SEP 12.1.2 MP1

    Migration from Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.5 or higher to Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU2 and removing Network Threat Protection causes network instability

    Fix ID: 3063813
    Symptom: When upgrading from a later version of Symantec Endpoint Protection with the firewall component installed to a Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU2 install package without the firewall, the network may not load upon reboot.
    Solution: Updated the migration mechanism for removing Teefer3 components from prior Symantec Endpoint Protection versions during the firewall uninstall.

    Yes, it is very much possible to migrate all the given SEP 11.x client directly to SEP 12.1 RU2.

    Upgrade and Migration paths

    Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.2 (RU2) can upgrade seamlessly over the following:

    • Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.1101.401 (RU1 MP1)
    • Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.1000.157 (RU1)
    • Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.671.4971 (RTM)
    • Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.x (can be upgraded to enterprise version only)
    • Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12.0

    Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.2 (RU2) can migrate installations of the following legacy Symantec products:

    • Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.x.
    • Symantec Client Security 3.x
    • Symantec AntiVirus for Mac (client only)

    Note: A Small Business Edition product can be upgraded to the enterprise version, but the reverse is considered a downgrade and is not supported.

    Yes you can upgrade the client from 11.x to 12.1 Ru2
