As per discussion with DMCI administrator, the Seagate 1TB SATA HDD is a fixed internal HDD. It will act somehow as another local drive of the Media Server, where Backup to Disk folder will be created. Will this be possible?

Yes.  No problems with this,

Yes.  No problems with this, other than performance....

It'll be fine for single jobs going to the one disk.  But the beauty of disk is the ability to send multiple jobs at the same time to reduce your backup window.  With only one spindle, it's recommended, only one job at a time to disk.

There is an online portal, save yourself the long hold times. Create ticket online, then call in with ticket # in hand :-) http://mysupport.symantec.com "We backup data to restore, we don't backup data just to back it up."
