Back-up computer

Hello,

 

i have a question, i got Backup Exec 2010 and i would like to back up some windows XP computers.

but i would like to backup them like a image so when the computer crashes i can restore the computer completly.

can this be don if so how?

Backup Exec does not perform image based backups and restores like the way you want. It is better if you evaluate Symantec System Recovery (this has features of Norton Ghost)

Backup Exec 2010 does not do image recovery,it uses IDR which uses DR recovery from backups. Backup Exec 2012 uses SDR adds tools to make this process easier and implements recovery for things like recovery to dissimiliar hardware.

Symantec System Recovery is designed for full image recoveries.  Here is a link for Symantec System Recovery desktop edition http://www.symantec.com/system-recovery-desktop-edition
