Hello all. My brother was kind enough to install a Free RAR frog application on my computer. Now I have this Backdoor.Tidserv trojan on my machine. It says it must be manually removed but the steps that Symantec is offering are not working. It will not delete, the uninstall file that came with the Frog app does not work and it will not uninstall from the control panel. Does anyone have any experience with this or an idea of how to rid my machine of it? I am currently running Vista. Thanks.

Got hit with it last night. Symantec saw the trojan, and directed me to remove manually with removal tool. Tried several times and it just wouldn't work. Tried something else -- I think I got it off with TDDSKILLER, followed by Malwarebytes (MBAM). Looked like it cleaned it off, had to go to work and will check my system tonight.

Power Eraser is a great tool to remove threats that traditional virus scanning doesn't always detect.
