backing up to basic disc

hi,

i would like to know if anyone has tried backing up to basic discs. would be happy if you could share your experiences, especially backing up more than one server concurrently.

What OS is in question ?. I know ext3 isn't the best file system when it comes to Linux. Very large fragmentation is highly likely to occur. Switch to VxFS and that issues is resolved because NBU pre-allocating disk block on a VXFS volume. Start with Storage Foundation Basic to try it out.

Else there is not much to say, it works very well.

Assumption is the mother of all mess ups.
