Hi.. Do you have any experience with restore of Windows 2008 x64 using NetBackup 6.5.3 or 6.5.4. I know that 6.5.3 has a lot of issues with 2008.. Did you have any problems with restore on this platform ?

I'm talking about full system restore.. System State restore is really slow..
No, i didnt face any problem.
No, i didnt face any problem.
You have mentioned that system state restore is very slow. This is because the size of the system state in Windows 2008 is large.
Some fail with a 49
Some 2008 servers installed at 6.5.3.x fail with a error 49.
Some work just fine.
Symantec does not yet know why they fail.
I am currently doing detail work to find the difference in the severs.
any 2008 server that I have that gets the 49 is backed down to 6.5.2.a
I don't have to know how to spell....I work on Unix.
NetBackup 7.0.1 - AIX & Windows
System State Restore is extremely slow
No matter in NBU 6.5.3.1 oe 6.5.4, System State Restore is extremly slow, system drive restore completed in 2 hours but System State Restore took 16 hours, that is sth Intolerable......:-(
NB_6.5.4_ET1765302_1_329235????
Not quite sure NB_6.5.4_ET1765302_1_329235 is a NetBackup 6.5.4 EEB (Emergency Engineering Binary) for Windows clients (Windows Server 2008) can fix up the the slow System Restore problem or not ?
