...is GRT turned on for the job? Have you checked to make sure that no AV is scanning the BE services on the passive server?

If you find this is a solution, please mark it as such.

Is this being done to disk or tape? Any other backups being affected on that server? Is the NIC on that server configured to the fastest it can run, and have you tried to copy files between the passive DAG server and the media server to see what sort of speeds you are get on the network?

Thanks!

for now realy i don't have another DISK

the current disk has schedueld defrag... and now it is on 5% fragment....

P.S. i read in other disccussions that it possible that "Catalog" folder is currepted and that why cataloging is taking time and not the Backup Process it self..do you know about? to try to create new one..? is that well help?

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH196756 that does affect backups also. Please open a case with support and we can provide a beta fix.

Hi

Can you please try doing backup of DAG from active node ,it is always part of best practisce to backup from passive node but as in this case it is very slow ,do backup from active node and please update ,ensure too In AOFO option check point restart is not checked.

Thanks
