Backup to a different domain

Created: 06 Dec 2007 • Updated: 22 May 2010 | 1 comment
Hi all,

I'm facing a problem with backup exec 11d.
My media server sits on domain A, I can backup all Servers/workstations on that domain.

I want to backup a Server x on domain B.
I did etablish a trust between Domain A and Domain B as stated in the doc and did install the agent on server x.

The logon account is member of domain admins and administrators (on domain B) and local administrators on server x.

On the media server, I can see server x on my favorites but if I click  to view the objects, I have an access error "Failed to access server x. Logon account: system logon account . Access denied.". So I cannot even browse the objects for this server.

If I change the system account to administrator,  everything will work fine.
Did I miss something?

Nadia.

Ok, I got it...
My logon account should be DomainB\user (target doamin) instead of DomainA\user.
