Backup to disk????

I was thinking that I could schedule a backup job to our storage server during the middle of the day....and was thinking about using the backup to disk option.

Is this possible for regular files, or does it have to be exchange, or sharepoint only?

I tried to go through the wizard to create the "backup to disk folder" but since its on a different machine, it failed, said it didn't have rights to create the folder.  I added a new user (adminstrator account) to backup exec, and it still failed.....

Any ideas on what I might be doing incorrectly?

Thanks

re:Backup to disk????

Does your BackupExec Service Account (BESA) have full rights to the share on the storeage server?

Even with the Service account

Even with the Service account given full permissions on the share, I still get the error message "access denied" when I'm trying to complete the Backup to disk wizard......
