backup emc using snapshot

Hello,

I will work with NetBackup for UNIX

I want a backup storage: EMC CLARiiON.

I need to work with a large backup window, so I do a snapshot LUN, then I backed up to tape, using as source the snapshot created. Is this possible? How could I?
