Is there a way with Backup Exec 10d to backup only a server from a seperate workstation without having to purchase a standard license and a remote agent license?  My management software conflicts with the full version, and I need to back it up using the agent.  It seems that if I'm just backing up the server and nothing else, I wouldn't have to buy the agent license.  Right now, I receive an error that I do not have an agent license when I try to select the server from the selctions list.

Thanks,
MAC

Hi MAC, Nope, you will need

Hi MAC,

Nope, you will need an agent. You will be able to browse the server with no issues to a point...it would only show the shares.
The agent is needed in order to access everything onthat server.

Laters!
