Backup Exec 10d cannot backup oracle on remote server
I have a Backup Exec server (Win2003 Enterprise SP1 English, Backup Exec 10d with no service pack). I installed Oracle agent 9 (5.026) on a remote server under the same subnet without firewall blocking.
On Backup Exec server, I can select tablespaces on the remote server's oracle DB and created job. Blank username with password is also set in order to work with oracle agent config utility.
Backup job start for around 10 minutes and then failed and log shows that:
Backup- ORACLE_NTIDMA05/BTVACP V-79-57344-65033 - Directory not found. Cannot backup directory \BTV_GENERAL_IDX and its subdirectories.
V-79-57344-65033 - Directory not found. Cannot backup directory \BTV_GENERAL_TBL and its subdirectories.
V-79-57344-65033 - Directory not found. Cannot backup directory \STAT and its subdirectories.
V-79-57344-65033 - Directory not found. Cannot backup directory \SYSAUX and its subdirectories.
V-79-57344-65033 - Directory not found. Cannot backup directory \SYSTEM and its subdirectories.
V-79-57344-65033 - Directory not found. Cannot backup directory \UNDO and its subdirectories.
V-79-57344-65072 - The connection to target system has been lost. Backup set canceled.
Searched the link but the solution is not for this case. What's wrong with it? I have another server with same Backup Exec version 10d and Oracle agent 9 (5.026) for local oracle DB backup but work fine.
How to fix it? Thank you.

Why are you using Oracle agent version 9 instead of 10? Upgrade the agent and reconfigure it.
The Oracle agent needs the instance set in ARCHIVELOG mode with the automatic archival enabled. I would also set a password other than blank in the agent's credentials (remember you need in the media server a logon account named whatever but with the same password).
And also review the control files and archive logs directories in the agent, maybe that is the problem.

Hello,
Have you enabled the Archive Log mode for Oracle?
If not please refer to this document:
