backup exec 10d errors

Hi,
Ive been getting these errors for about 2 weeks now. everything seems to be backing up as normal but get these alerts in backupexec and in the event viewer
event id 34327
Update to catalog index (Catalog index database) failed.
Reason: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]Connectio
nWrite (send()). cat_RecordSet::Open()

event id 34338
Backup Exec Alert: Catalog Error
(Server: "server1") ODBC access error. Possible lost connection to database or unsuccessful access to catalog index in the database.
event id 57860
An error occurred while attempting to log in to the following server: "server1". (the bedb is on server2 so not sure why this is happening)
SQL error number: "0011".
SQL error message: "[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
event id 33152
Adamm Database Error: Connection Lost!
Error = E_PVL_DB_LOST_CONNECTION
Server = "server2"
Active Node = ""
Instance = "BKUPEXEC"
Database = "BEDB"
changed my server names to server 1 and server 2 (server 1 has the backupexec and server 2 is the sql server where the database is)
