Hi I understand you are

Hi
I understand you are unable to see SQL 2008 in your selection list. Please note that SQL 2008 is not supported with Backup Exec 11d. It is supported with Backup Exec 12.5. So, if you would like to backup the SQL 2008 instance, you would need to upgrade the version of Backup Exec. Please find the software compatibility list of Backup Exec 12.5 in following document:
ftp://exftpp.symantec.com/pub/support/products/Backup_Exec_for_WindowsNT/307063.pdf

You may want to compare it with Software Compatibility list  for backup Exec 11 in following document:
ftp://exftpp.symantec.com/pub/support/products/Backup_Exec_for_WindowsNT/286600.pdf

Please mark it a solution, if this is useful.

Thanks
