Backup Exec 12.5 and Quantum DLT V4 - unrecognized media

Hello,

im using BE 12.5 with an Quantum DLT V4. Symantec Drivers are installed as suggested in HCL, v5.1.37.0 from 12.07.2007. The drive doesn't recognize any Media. Any suggestions?

Is this a SATA devvice with USB interface option.

If so from HCL "This SATA device is sold with a USB interface option. This option is a Quantum-supplied SATA~USB converter internal to the server. If used, the device appears as a USB tape drive to the OS, thus requiring a QUANTUM-supplied USB tape driver."

Make sure the tape drive is not connected to RAid controller card. Its recommended to connect the drive to a SCSI controller as per the document http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH5181

make sure the removeable storage service is stopped and disabled
