Backup Exec 12.5 - Jobs Failing - Final Error: 0xe00084af

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Final error: 0xe00084af - The directory or file was not found, or could not be accessed.
Final error category: Job Errors

Backup- \\XXXXX\G: Directory \ was not found, or could not be accessed.

None of the files or sub-directories contained within will be backed up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just recently started getting this error.  This job has been running correctly for months and now I am getting this error.
This started happening when I got this error message:
Final error: 0xe000fe3c - Before you can back up this resource, you must purchase and install a license key for the appropriate Backup Exec agent. See the job log for details.
Final error category: Security Errors

All of our licenses are legal and up to date.  Again, nothing changed from the week before.  I had to go onto the Managed Media Server and install the license key for a Remote Agent on it to start backing up other jobs.  After this, jobs started working again, except for this job.

I saw the credentials on the Remote Agent were changed on that server and have changed them to Local Account or Changed it to the Admin account.

When I create a brand new job with the same selection, I test the credentials and it says it is ok...but errors out.

Any help is appreciated.

It is running as the local

It is running as the local system account and is running on Windows Server 2003 SE SP2.

The Data on the G drive are mainly .TIF and .DOC files.  There are a lot of files about 1 TB worth, but broken up into folders.  I have tried selecting the G drive as a whole, or just selecting a couple of folders.

This is one of the first

This is one of the first things I have tested.  This job log is coming from a job I just created this morning.  I am getting the same issue as the one that was created months ago.  When creating the job, I selected the G drive instead of using a selection list.

This is sort of odd... This

This is sort of odd...

This is a daily job that has 3 drives selected.  Two of the drives are what I have been getting errors with (E & G) but it worked on the F drive.  That is odd since all of them are on the SAN...

Good call on trying to run

Good call on trying to run NTbackup.  Running into an issue (well it thinks it completes) but it is only backing up 10kb worth of data.  So I am trying the good old, shut down and restart tonight.  If that does not work I will start looking at those drives further.

More than one server

I should have said that it happens on each of four W2003 servers that I have been backing up with only the usual BE problems for YEARS!
