This issue has been solved. See solution.

Everyone, a customer of ours just upgraded their Backup Exec 12.5 Windows 2003 Server based software using LiveUpdate.

However, since the update, backups of filesystems hosted by HP-UX Servers no longer work.

I was told that the RALUS agent needed to be updated.  However, I cannot find the latest version of the RALUS agent.

When I go to http://fileconnect.symantec.com  It asks me for a serial number.  However, the software was purchased through Dell and the only thing I have is a license key number used to activate the software.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the latest RALUS agent?

thanks

Hello,

Open the backup exec console-->Tools-->Install License and options and check if RALUS license is installed or not.

Secondly, as you told that the software came from DELL, please check if its a Quick start edition. Help-->About Backup Exec.

Quick start edition does not support any agent...

Hope this helps...

Its a best practice to have a "Support Contract" with Symantec...
