Hi There,

I am having an issue trying to restore files from a certain user. When i go into the restore screen i can see My Computer, but it doesn't allow me to expand the folders. When i go into search for files to restore i can see all the files which have been backed up. The problem being, the user has over 6000 files which need restoring and the only way i can select the files is to click each file. I have checked on the server where the files are being backed up to, and all the files are there in the .dlo folder. I have given full control to myself and the admin account which i use to log onto the server, but still no joy.

Any help would be much appreciated, and may stop me from getting an RSI from clicking each file.

Thanks

Matt

Hi Matt, Have you patched

Hi Matt,

Have you patched 12.5 to the hilt, and looked at loading Service Pack 3?

Thanks!

If you find this is a solution, please mark it as such.

Are you trying to restore

Are you trying to restore from DLO administration console or from the client? Try doing it from both consoles, i am sure it does allow restoring the entire folder. Do not modify the permissions on the .dlo folder or whatever, that might have adverse impact.

Thanks

Thanks for the replys. I have

Thanks for the replys. I have not tried applying any patches, i shall give this a go. All the files have been deleted from the users machine and only exist on the server now, so i can only restore from the administraton console. In the mean time i have given the user access to the .dlo folder to search through. It appears that the user only needs to restore one file (of which they know neither the name or location of). I will try installing the latest patches as this could be an issue in the future. Thanks for your help.
