This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello guys, I had set Symantec Backup Exec to run under Administrator account.

But I have shared folder in which under the security tab the Administrator account has read only rights.

Question is, will the Symantec Backup able to backup those shared folders on which the administrator account has read only rights?

Of course those shared folder was selected or included to be backed up under the settings of the software.

Thank you for any input. :)

Yes, this will work if you select the recource by UNC path (not driveletter).

You will need a RAWS (Remote Agent for Windows) in order to be able to backup a remote server.
