Does symantec support the installation of full blown media version of Backup Exec 12.5 SP3 on Microsoft server 2008, R2 SP1?

Hi,

Win2K8 R2 is not supported at all as a media server. You need to go to BE 2010 R3 at least (or BE 2012) to do this.
