Hi All,

I've got the existing Installation of Backup Exec 12.5 SP2 but without the license of AVVI,

Yes I know that by using the Agent for VMWare Virtual Infrastructure (AVVI option) the VMWare VM backup can generates the .VMX and .VMDK file for easy execution using VMWare Player inside the backup proxy.

Without the AVVI option, the backup would end up as a single big .BKF file which is must be restored again to a certain directory then export it again to the ESXi server with VMWare converter.

Does anyone have experience in how to integrate VCB v1.5update 1 with Backup Exec 12.5 without AVVI license ?

Thanks.

Yes that's what I've done

Yes that's what I've done before, and now I'm glad that the Backup Exec 2010 R2 can now supports vstorage API and no more complicated VCB proxy.
