Hello all
I have been using Backup Exec to back up several servers for months with generally little problems but last night my backup returned the errors below, can anyone provide some insight into this please?
Thanks in advance

AND
Unable to complete the operation for the selected resource using the specified options for the following reason: VFF Open Failure. This can be caused by low memory or disk resources.

Do you already have BE2010 R3 installed ?
If not, please update to R3 first, and make sure to push the remote agent to the Exchange server again.
Also make sure the exact version of the Exchange 2010 Management Tools are installed on the Backup Exec Media server.

Hi guys
Thanks for the replies
I do not have R3 installed only R2, when I run LiveUpdate it gives me error
Backup Exec failed to register with LiveUpdate. Ensure that the latest version of LiveUpdate is installed, and then try again.
I have already tried to reinstall the LiveUpdate through the Backup Exec CD but it still does not work
Does someone have a link to download the R3 Update?
Thanks
You can get it on the link below:
Once downloaded, stop the BE services, get copies of the Data/Catalogs folders, and then proceed with the upgrade. Once done, run LiveUpdate to install BE 2010 R3 SP2 and then run it again to install any outstanding patches before push-installing to any remote servers you might have!
THanks!
