I'd like to restore catalog backup. Tell me the process.

I am not sure if you are

I am not sure if you are refering to the BE catalog folder or the data fom a Tape. Assuming you want to restore data from tape and it is not showing up in catalogs, you can right click the Tape and perform catalog on it. Once this job completes, Right Click again and restore out of that media.

If you are trying to restore something, click on the Restore link on the button bar or go to the Job Setup tab and then click on New Restore Job.

we are planing to upgrade our

we are planing to upgrade our existing BE 2010 server to BE 2012. At the same time we upgrade the OS to 2008 64 bit. for that we required the process, so that we can recover the backedup catalog from media.

If you do not need to keep

If you do not need to keep your jobs, etc, do a fresh install of BE 2012 on your server with the new OS.  It would be easier.  See this discussion on what to do
