Backup Exec 2010 R2 Remote Agents, i think...

What do i need in order to backup files on a nas device across 10GB to tape for quarterly archiving purposes? Remote Agents???

As I understand:

You want to backup data from the NAS Box to the TAPES.

Could you pl. elaborate about the entire setup?

Its a best practice to have a "Support Contract" with Symantec...

Are you using shared directories on your NAS device?  If so, all you need to do is to define the shared directories using their UNC names in the User-defined Selection and backup up those shares.  Some NAS devices use a Linux which is supported, in which case, you would install RALUS on these devices.

Note that to backup a NAS device, you need to have a RAWS/RALUS licence regardless of whether you actually load the RAWS/RALUS on the device.
