Backup Exec 2010 R3 - 0xe000fe2d - The backup of the item is bad.

Created: 26 Dec 2012 | 2 comments

Hello,

I have a number of jobs setup in my BE policy and all run fine apart from 1 where I keep getting the following error:

I've restarted the server, I've installed all the latest updates, pushed the latest updated to the agent, used different tapes.

This server is a Hyper-V Host running 4 VM's

If I run a test run on the job it all goes through fine.

Any ideas?

You got to narrow down the problem.

1) expand your joblog and see whether it indicates which item is bad.

2) backup each of the VM separately and see which is the one that is causing the problem.

Hello Itianuk,

You may also want to take a look at these technotes which are for different applications / resources selected for the backups. So after isolating the resource in which it is failing the appropriate technote will be handy.
