Backup Exec 2010, 2010 R2 and 2010 R3 Software Compatibility List (SCL):

Does not support Oracle Database 11g R2 x86-32 on linux!
 
Anybody know when it will be supported?

I think you will have to contact Symantec Support about this.

You also can post this in the ideas section, if more people request this, Symantec may be speed up the testing for this combination.

Symantec does not publish

Symantec does not publish roadmaps of future support.  You would just have to keep looking at the SCL.

Not sure where you got this info from, though with BE 2012 too, Oracle 11g R2 is supported only on Windows... (oracle 11g non R2, 10gR2 is supported on both Linux & Windows )
