Backup Exec 2010 R3 - Windows EFS (Encrypted File System)

Hi can Backup Exec back up newly created folders on the server which have been encrypted by Windows?

Sure, but make sure the Backup Exec service account has access to the files/folders of the encrypted data.

When the service account tried to access the folders it gets an error message so I think this is an issue, I am guessing the only person who can access the folders is the user account which encrypted them in the first place
Then this would be a problem. Backup Exec Service account needs to have permissions to access the data that you need to back up.
