Hi all,

I have been trying to look up for the B2D disk sizing.

Lets say I am doing Incremental backup monday through thursday and Friday i will have a Full backup.

For example, Total data size is 1 TB and changes is around 1GB everyday.

May I know what is raw disk ratio to backup size to assign?

Hi,

Normally assign the amount of disk space you want to have in terms of retention. If you do Weekly and Monthly backups too, then it would be 3TB + the INCR for a daily.

In this specific case, go for 1.1TB if you can as you have some overhead.

Here are the B2D best practices too:

Thanks!

If you use software compression and your data is compressible, you might be able to save some space from what was advised earlier.
