Hi,
This can happen if the RAWS agent has stopped...please check this on the server in question. Make sure that any AV installed (if at all) isn't perhaps blocking the beremote.exe service too, and put in an exclusion for it if need-be.
Thanks!

Hi,
RAWS did not stop. The File Server installed SEP 11 (include Antivirus and antispyware, Network Access Control). The Windows Firewall was already disabled in file server. In order to prevent blocking between file server and Backup Exec server, do I need put "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\RAWS\beremote.exe" in exclusion list only? anything else?
The recommendation that I got from the SEP people is to only install the anti-virus portion on a server. All the other SEP components, like firewall, device control, etc., should not be installed.
If you have installed only the Antivirus & AnitSpyware portion, then add exclusion for beremote.exe on the remote server & all other backup exec services on the media server....NAC component checks for host integrity & as long as the systems are compliant, they should not interfere with the backup/restore process..
