Symantec Backup exec 2012 Small Business Edition

Can someone answer a basic question about the above product

I have a client with a single microsoft small business server 2011

I will be backing up to an LTO tape backup device directly attached to it

There are no other servers on this network

The workstations do not require any backup

Does the base product include the licence/ability to backup the Microsoft Exchange and SQL databases on this same server

I understand that there is an additional backup exec small business edition Agent

but am I correct that this would only be required if we were to be backing up data ( files, exchange, sql, etc)  from other servers/worstations elsewhere on the network?

Hi,

By default, SBS 2012 contains agents for Exchange, AD, SQL, Hyper-V and Sharepoint. You can verify this on pg. 3 of the document you can download below:

Thanks!
