Backup Exec 2012 SP2 beta, Windows Server 2012

Created: 13 Jun 2013 • Updated: 13 Aug 2013 | 2 comments
This issue has been solved. See solution.

I installed the beta this week... might regret it... but here's what I'm seeing with mt Windows 2012 Server fileserver and running HyperV:

Agent for Windows (6.1) is incompatible with the Backup Engine ().
Please upgrade the Agent for Windows.
V-79-57344-37953 - The version of the Agent for Windows is incompatible with the Backup Exec server.  Upgrade the Agent for Windows to the same version as the Backup Exec servers.

I find it odd since I upgrade the agent from the BE console.  I even copied over the agent install from the backup server and ran a repair install.  It seems to backup the files but fails the backup all together.  Is anyone having a similar issue?  Or, has anyone found a work around to this problem?

I could have swore they promissed Windows 2012 support in this beta release...

Thanks

Sorry. I dug deeper and finally found the beta forums out there. It's not exactly easy to find from the beta home page... (sigh)
