Backup Exec Hotfix, Service pack, Security Update Release Dates Policy

Created: 09 Jun 2013 | 3 comments

1. What would be the release interval dates for Backup exec ( BE2010 and BE2012 ) critical updates/patches pertaining to security?

2.  As a follow up to question 1, what would be the release interval dates for hotfixes and also service packs?

3. Do Symantec provide a document that mentions this patches, service pack and hotfixes release date/interval policy?

4.  Can you provide the URL where to find the documentation?

Symantec does not have a document on when they release hotfixes/SP.  They are released as and when they are ready.

What do you have in mind when you say "security".

3. Yes, but it is per-patch, and there is a text file you can download with any patch that details what all is fixed/affected/changed by a particular patch!

4. <-- go here and you can search for any patch you want.
