Go to the Windows Event Log, check what is the causing the service to fail and correct that.

Also do you have 'GRT' on for the backups you are running? If so try turning this off and running a backup. If that works the install hotfix 167791 which can be found at:

if you are able to...upgrade to BE 2010R3. It solved the problem with "stopped BE service" in my cases.
