I am trying to determine if the Microsoft virtuaization agent works on both Hyper-V hosts that Microsoft offers - The free one (Hyper-V Server 2008 R2) and the paid one (Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V). None of the documentation I've found on the Symatec site mentions Hyper-V Server 2008 R2.

Thanks. I saw that document

Thanks. I saw that document previously, but it doesn't actually answer the question. In Microsoft-speak, Hyper-V Server R2 is the free version and Windows 2008 is the paid version. Notice that they don't use 'Windows'  when referring to the 'free' product.  I would think that the agent would work on either product, but I don't want to get into the situation that VMWare created with their free version of vSphere - they forbid 3rd parties from supporting it.
