Backup exec - VMware backup failed - e0009579

Backup exec 2010 R3

Windows 2008 R2

ESX 4.0

Backup is taken on disk and then duplicated to tap (without GRT)

There are 7 Virtual machines in the ESX server.

The backup is failing for 2 Virtual machines with the following error.

Error category    : Resource Errors
Error             : e0009579 - Unable to copy the virtual machine disk using the VMware VixDiskLib.

Backup- VMVCB::\\XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX\VCGuestVm\(DC)ha-datacenter(DC)\vm\oprctx1-156
Error writing file data.

Verify- VMVCB::\\XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX\VCGuestVm\(DC)ha-datacenter(DC)\vm\oprctx1-156
Data for VMVCB::\\XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX\VCGuestVm\(DC)ha-datacenter(DC)\vm\oprctx1-156\oprctx1-156\NewCitrix5-000001.vmdk is corrupt.

I have deleted the old snapshots and restarted the backup but still it is failing.

If you are not on SP2 and the latest hotfixes, run LU a couple of times until it says no more updates.  After that, push out the remote agents again.

The SP2 is already updated.

I have disabled the netdma in the backup exec media server and restarted the backup. but the backup is failing with the same issue.
